Thursday, July 24th, 2014, our eldest son was running and hit some rocks and fell very hard in them. He shredded his right elbow up, bruised and badly scraped up his right hip and thigh, and got cut on the palm of his left hand. His hip/thigh area was also horribly swollen- it looked like he had a baseball lodged under his skin.
Upon arriving home, I gently cleansed all the areas with peroxide, and then mixed up a salve of a few drops of frankincense, a few drops of melaleuca, and used organic coconut oil as a carrier oil (for skin sensitivity, and to make the drops go further). We then covered the open wounds up with some surgical gauze.
When we looked upon his wounds the next day, we were already noticing some major healing going on. The swelling had gone down dramatically, and the scabs were beginning to form, but not in a dry, dead cell formation kind of way. The pictures can tell it much better than I can! I'll be updating this until there is no more to report on.
